About Aztec Spirits
the architects of the flavour codex
At Aztec Spirits, we are the Architects of the Codex, a dynamic, proprietary blueprint guiding our relentless exploration into the next generation of global flavour. Our story is one of intentional fusion, where the vibrant Latin Soul of our ingredients meets the uncompromising technical mastery of the Welsh Coast.
The spirit of adventure
Our brand is built on a continuous journey to map the next frontier of taste. Inspired by the legacy of legendary explorers like Alfred Russel Wallace, who ventured from his home in Neath to the Amazon Basin in the 1840s, we seek out the world’s most potent and underutilized botanicals. The Flavour Codex is our master document, part scientific log and part discovery manifesto, that records the precise coordinates and successful flavour compounds we’ve discovered across Latin America.

We use his spirit of discovery to bridge the wild energy of Latin America with the scientific discipline of Wales. The Forge: Hensol Castle Distillery (Hensol, South Wales)

Using naturally pure Welsh water and disciplined distillation, we strip away impurities to create a perfectly balanced frame for our vibrant Latin ingredients. Flavour Profile: Brings a complex, pungent, and resinous note with hints of citrus, mint, and oregano that deepens the spirit's botanical complexity. Narrative Tie-in: As our "Base Camp," Hensol Castle represents the technical mastery of the Flavour Codex. It is the site where the chaotic energy of the expedition is distilled into a sophisticated, super-premium liquid. The Spirit of Adventure, Precisely Mapped.Juniper (Macedonia)

Aztec Spirits is shaped by discovery — from the ancient heartlands of Latin America to the disciplined craft of South Wales. Explore the places, botanicals, and stories that give each bottle its soul.
Latin soul
We do not use supermarket flavours. Instead, we source rare varietals from remote cooperatives to ensure every sip acts as a sensory passport to the destinations logged in our Codex.
Our gin
Features authentic ancho chilli for its complex, fruity heat and Epazote from Oaxaca for its resinous citrus notes and rich cacao nibs for a rich and earthy finish.
Our vodka
Utilises avocado leaf from small-batch cooperatives in Michoacán to provide an earthy, anise-like profile that brings body and character to the spirit.
The foundation
By sourcing Latin American corn, a crop celebrated for generations for its rich cultural heritage and natural sweetness. We honour a timeless distilling tradition that gives our vodka and gin their exceptionally smooth character.
Welsh precision
If Latin America provides our wild heart, the Welsh Hills serve as our Mission Control. Located at the historic Hensol Castle Distillery, we refine our raw ingredients and produce delicious spirits using only the best ingredients and finest Welsh mountain spring water.
By utilising naturally pure Welsh spring water and disciplined distillation techniques, we strip away impurities to create a flawlessly smooth, structured frame for our vibrant botanicals. This heritage of mastery ensures that every batch is not a random mix, but a verified, repeatable masterpiece of flavour science.
